Ryder playing gentle

Image
It's been a few months and little Graham has been bounced, pushed and just displaced. But as he tolerates Ryder each day, they are learning to play instead of tolerate each other. It's fun to watch knowing Ryder knows full well he can overpower Graham at any point. It's amazing restraint with training he has when given the chance and time.

Some of the Aussie showing?

Its always interesting to look at him in awe of his mix. He's smaller than a husky, but fluffier, longer fur, but more tans and browns. But he's Ryder, I remind myself.  He's dominant husky, but some things he does.  When going on walks with our sheltie, it's beginning to seem like the tough play may be herding behavior.  2 boys trying to be alphas, trying to heard each other. It's not the quietest household lol, it's a lot of talking back to each other.  But that leg, ready to show his belly for all the pets. ❤️❤️❤️

Is it spring already?

Look at that longing face. Rain, snow or shine, he is ready for the great outdoors. He's warm enough for that blizzard. Waterproof for the rain, and with some water he can sweat out the warmer days. This Wisconsin weather has truly tested Ryders climate readiness!!  As spring nears, the sound of the birds and the squirrels peaks his curiosity in every bush and tree he sees.  He's ready to explore with his forever family any day now. Then curling up on a doggy bed or by your feet and snuggle up for a rest nap.
